Our Walks for 2024

As a carer you could join one of our exciting walks in 2024. You are welcome to attend on your own or share the experience with the person you care for.

Hertfordshire

March 19th  - Trent Park for the daffodils
April 2nd, 3rd or 4th  - Knebworth Estate, Gardens and Dinosaur Park
May 6th, 7th or 8th  - Stockers Lake Nature Reserve, Rickmansworth  - guided tour
April 24th  - Debdale Park, East Manchester
June 11th  - The Big Step Out at Hatfield House
July  
- English Heritage’s Audley End - complete with marquee lunch
August  - Walking Football with Stevenage
September  - Forty Hall - 3 wonderful walks round the Estate & Gardens
October  - Jean’s Walk long walk at Tewinbury
October  - Autumn walk - possibly Henry Moore Gardens or Cambridge Botanical Gardens.

Manchester

January 21st  - Media City/Salford Quays
February 27th  - Velodrome Philips Park, Ashton canal, City Link. East Manchester
March 18th  - Fletcher Moss and Didsbury parks, South Manchester
April 24th  - Debdale Park, East Manchester
May 20th  - Peel Park, Salford
June 9th-15th  
- Carers week - one walk for each group
June 24th  - Haigh Hall Wigan

Kent

February  - Folkestone Leas
March 6th  - Dover Castle - including the Great Tower, the medieval section and the tunnels where Operation Dynamo (Dunkirk) was masterminded.
March 27th  - Samphire Ho Nature Reserve in partnership with Wild With Wheels
April  - Goodnestone Park Gardens - to celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary

- THE BIG STEP OUT at Mote Park, Maidstone

August  - Romney Marsh/Dungeoness

An additional project supported by the Port of Dover offering : Walking - Gardening - Exploring in the local area for people who struggle to access the wild outdoors.

Carers and the people they care for are welcome to join us at any of our walks in their area. See our contact page to book - and you’ll soon connect to a human. Our Stepping Out walks, including lunch, are free.

Volunteer with Us

Get more out of your regular walking by joining us as a volunteer. Open to anyone interested, particular carers who are no longer caring and would enjoy contributing to their local community.
